The first "Bond Girl" in history died at the age of 90

Eunice Gayson, who plays Bond Girl Sylvia Trench in James Bond's first film, "No No", died on June 9.

Eunice Gayson is known for her role as Sylvia Trench - James Bond's first girlfriend in history with two films. No (from 007: Dr. No) and From Russia with Love (007: love comes from Russia). The veteran actor died on June 8 at the age of 90 due to old age.



James Bond's Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli expressed their regret to Eunice on his Twitter account: "We are sad to hear that Eunice Gayson, the first Bond Girl who plays Sylvia Trence In Dr. No and From Russia With Love, please send to your family a deep condolence. "

Gayson is well known for the famous scene that her Sylvia character suggested to James Bond of Sir Sean Connery said his name. Bond asked her name: "I admire your courage, lady ...?". In response, Gayson's character said, "Trench, Sylvia Trench, I admire your luck, sir ...?"

This is the scene where Sean Connery was very worried and said "Sean Bond, James Connery." Director Terence Young then broke up and asked Eunice Gayson to take Sean out to drink something. After making you calm down, "Bond Girl" Eunice returned to Sean and together completed the scene perfectly.

Eunice Gayson is also a rare Bond Girl featured in two James Bond films. Initially she was chosen to play Miss Moneypenny but then actress Lois Maxwell took the place. However, Eunice's real voice has never been used by Dr. Eunice. From Russia with Love was like a lot of other Bond girls in the 60s and 70s. Her lines were replaced by voices by actress Nikki van der Zyl.

Born in Surrey, England in 1928, in addition to the two James Bond films, Eunice Gayson has been involved in a number of television projects including the 1950s and 1960s such as The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) and The Revenge of Frankenstein Avengers (1966). In 2013, the actress appeared in the British Masterchef series.
